Christmas is Coming to Brandywine!

Christmas Outreach Projects at the Missions Corner

Angel Tree
Be an Angel to a child of an incarcerated parent by providing gifts (1 toy, 1 article of clothing) for Christmas ($40-$50 gift limit). Stop by the Missions Corner on Sunday mornings starting November 1 to select an Angel. Gifts are due back by November 29.

Our Angel tree Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, December 12 at Hanover Presbyterian Church. Volunteers are needed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for set up, assisting with crafts, serving refreshments, transporting and handing out gifts, etc. Please sign up at the Missions Corner by December 7. This is a great opportunity for teens as well.

Christmas Cookies
Pick up a container at the Missions Corner and fill it with Christmas cookies for our Angel Tree Christmas Party. Cookies are due by December 6.

Shoeboxes
Fill a shoebox with toiletries, snacks and other small items for a homeless man or woman. Pick up a shopping list on Sundays starting November 2 at the Missions Corner. Fill your box and return it filled, and wrapped (marked with gender) to the table in the Gathering Area between services on Sundays, or during the week. Boxes are due back by Sunday, November 29.

Christmas Events at Brandywine

Sunday, November 22: Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale at Brandywine
Come out to a fest Christmas Concert with the Emmy Award-winning Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale here at Brandywine on Sunday, November 22 at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. so come early to browse a silent auction, purchase gift cards, hand-crafted jewelry and Cup of Compassion Coffee. All proceeds will help Compassion Corps fund three major children’s projects in Liberia and Uganda. You can purchase tickets online via Compassion Corps’ website.

Tuesday, December 1: Bible Study for Today Christmas Coffee
Bible Study for Today invites you to join us Tuesday, December 1 for our Christmas Coffee at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Our guest speaker is Gene Ontjes. Cost is $5. Childcare is available. For more information, please contact Laura Hammond at (302) 545-5594.

Wednesday, December 9, 6:30-8 p.m.: Student Christmas Parties
6-8 Grade in the large room under the Gym ! // 9-12 Grade in the Loft above the Gym!
Have some fun with your friends, play reindeer games, and bring a gift for the White Elephant Gift Exchange (should cost less than $5, or just be something weird from your house). Also (if you can), bring your favorite dessert.

Wednesday, December 16: Merry Hearts Christmas Luncheon
Merry Hearts, a ministry to retirees, will hold their Christmas luncheon on Wednesday, December 17 at 12 p.m. here at Brandywine. Cost is $10 per person. Please reserve your spot by Friday, December 12. Contact Michelle Hopkins at (610) 388-8077 as soon as possible to reserve your spot, or if you have any questions.

Special Guests: Ukrainian Evangelical Baptist Church Choir, Brandywine’s Children’s Choir

Proceeds from this year’s The Gift will be going to several local ministries.

Christmas Eve

Thursday, December 24

5 PM – Family Service, featuring A Tree Lot Christmas, a musical presented by the Brandywine Children’s Choir, directed by Regina Ontjes.

This musical is filled with vibrant songs that deliver the truth of God’s word and a script that follows a group of kids selling trees outside of Mr. Carmichael’s toy store to raise money for children in need. Join the adventure as these compassionate and fun-loving kids demonstrate the powerful love of Christ to the greedy Mr. Carmichael and invite him into the family of God.

7 PM – Contemporary Candlelight Service

9 PM – Traditional Candlelight Communion Service
