TESTIMONIALS:

Mike F., a BVBC member, participated in the Financial Peace University in 2014 and found it to be very helpful. “The most important thing I learned at Financial Peace University was having a plan of where to put our money,” said Mike. “Prior to the class I thought I knew how to manage our finances but the course laid out a more thorough and focused path for our finances, backed by expertise that provided comfort.”

Mike was reluctant to spend the money for the class registration fee even though he had heard about it from church and friends. He knew he and his wife already followed some of the class principles. Finally, they were compelled to take the class and are glad they did.

“I just expected to learn some new insights about how to effectively manage our finances,” said Mike. “The class met those expectations but also exceeded them in two ways: First, I learned much more than I expected. Second, the course’s emphasis on uniting the couples on their spending and financial management was highly beneficial.”

“I would encourage everyone to take this class,” recommends Mike. “Even if you think you have a great understanding of finances, you’ll undoubtedly learn new things or have items reinforced. Additionally, if you feel like you don’t know or care very little about finances, this course discusses finances in a way relevant to all levels of financial understanding.”

Mark and Emily H. attended the Financial Peace University and gained great insights about their finances. This is what they said about their experience: “Going through Financial Peace University allowed us to refocus our finances and set new goals for our family. It gave us a clear set of steps to develop our goals and budget. We were able to develop a monthly budget that we could work within and we also were able to increase and refocus our retirement and savings goals. Financial Peace University gave us the structure to really take a good look at where we were and then decide where we wanted to go. Now we are able to give, save and spend intentionally and faithfully. Financial Peace University has truly blessed us and set us on a solid foundation for the future.”
