Missions Week – April 3-10, 2016
This year’s Missions Week focus will be on the Ukraine. Missions Week kicks off on April 3 with Pastor Nate preaching about “The Mission of God” and concludes on April 10 with a guest speaker sharing God’s Word with us. You won’t want to miss this amazing opportunity to hear how God is working in Ukraine.
Join us on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for this an evening in Ukraine. There will be a selection of Ukrainian and American dishes and a special interview of our guest speaker by Pastor Nate. The cost for the dinner is $5 per person or $10 per family. There will be childcare for children ages 5 & under. Sign up for the dinner in the gathering area on Sundays or contact the church office to reserve your spot. Deadline for sign-up is Sunday, April 3, 2016.
What is Faith Promise and How Does It Work?
Faith Promise is an extra offering taken annually during our Missions Conference. Money is supposed to come in one of two sources: “found money” – a tax refund, bonus, opportunity to work overtime, etc; or a conviction from God that you should give a specific amount of money to His work instead of spending it on something else.
Pledge cards will be available in the pew racks in the sanctuary beginning Sunday, March 20. Drop your completed pledge card in the offering plate. Pledged money will be collected from March 20 to May 29, 2016. Money must be designated as Faith Promise on the envelope in order to be credited to Missions.
Our goal for this year’s faith promise is to raise $10,000 to help the Ukrainian seminary associated with our sister church in Ukraine. Please prayerfully consider your part in this year’s Faith Promise offering.
