Our Signing Music Ministry assists our music teams in bringing a visual dimension to the already powerful lyrics in praise and worship music. Signers will present a special song in American Sign Language (ASL) during worship services about three or four times yearly. Rehearsals are held on an as-needed basis, usually Thursday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m.
To participate, no prior experience is necessary, just a desire to worship God from the heart and to bless others! (2 Cor. 12:9 “But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”) Participants must be prepared to work hard physically and to focus for concentrated periods of time. Videos are sent to assist your personal practice between rehearsals. Participants should be 9 years old or older.
On December 8, 2019 at the Christmas Concert, the Signing Music Ministry will sign “Christmas Makes Everything New”. Practices start on Thursday, October 10 and continue weekly until the concert. Practices run 7:00-8:30 p.m. each Thursday. To join this group, contact Kara Clarke. Deadline to join is Wednesday, October 9.
If you have a one-time or continued interest in participating in this exciting ministry, please contact Sign Ministry leader Kara Clarke.
