Brandywine Valley is called to serve the world around us for the sake of Christ. One way we do this is by reaching out to our community in designated church-wide outreach opportunities the third Saturday of each month. We participate in these outreaches through prayer, giving, compassionate service and by developing relationships as we serve.
Sunday Breakfast Mission
The Mission serves the homeless, addicted, and impoverished through Christ-centered programs to meet their spiritual, social, and physical needs. Serve the evening meal from 5:15 – 6:30 p.m.
Sojourners Place is dedicated to helping homeless men and women return to the community as self-sufficient people through a case-managed, three-year program that provides transitional housing and meals, job training and other services. Prepare and serve the evening meal from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is an international, non-profit Christian organization that builds affordable housing for people living in substandard housing. Construction help (skilled and unskilled) is needed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Helpers are also needed to provide lunch for Saturday volunteers.
Shipley Manor (3rd Sunday)
We have a scheduled visitation to the Health Care section of Shipley Manor on the third Sunday of each month at 2 p.m. Our visitation consists of hymn singing, a devotional message, prayer, meet & greet fellowship time, and an occasional special music accompaniment.
