Romans Part 4: God's Mysterious Sovereignty

Pastor Nate Keeler speaks about "God's Mysterious Sovereignty" from Romans 9:1-29. Is God sovereign or does mankind have free will? In Romans 9, Paul focuses on God’s sovereignty through the history of His sovereignty over his chosen people, Israel. Ultimately, God’s sovereignty gives us a greater assurance of our salvation.

From Series: "Romans Part 4: God’s Providence"

In Romans Part 4: God’s Providence, Paul answers the question raised from Romans 8:30: If God’s call of someone to salvation ultimately brings them to glory, what do we make of God’s chosen people, Israel, and their unbelief? Paul explores God’s mysterious sovereignty in choosing Israel, the inclusion of the Gentiles, our role in reaching Jews and Gentiles, and God’s ultimate plan for Israel. Not only does Romans 9-11 tell us about the history of the Jewish people but it gives us insight into how God works behind the scenes to bring His providential plans to fruition. We can trust Him, even in what we don’t understand.
