Annual Food Drive

The 2025 annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, benefiting the Sunday Breakfast Mission, is October 26-November 16. Their goal is to distribute 2,000 food boxes to struggling families in Wilmington. There are two ways you can help:

  1. Volunteer at the Sunday Breakfast Mission to pack food boxes, distributed food boxes or serve Thanksgiving dinner.
  2. Donate non-perishable food.

The 2025 Food Drive is complete. Thank You to everyone who volunteered their time over the Thanksgiving holiday to serve at the Sunday Breakfast Mission. Thank You to all who donated week after week towards our food drive. Because of your generosity, we sent over 140 bags of food and over 60 volunteers to the Sunday Breakfast Mission to support our community in need! If you had the privilege of handing out food boxes, sharing the gospel or praying with our neighbors, you saw firsthand what an impact your giving made. Thank you for being a church On the Move this Thanksgiving.

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:

There are also opportunities to serve at the Sunday Breakfast Mission to support of this project. All service opportunities occur at the Sunday Breakfast Mission at 110 Poplar St, Wilmington, DE. Please note, most opportunities require volunteers to be on their feet for the duration of the volunteer time.

This is a great family service project, especially for families with older children who will be off of school during Thanksgiving week. High school students can earn service hours for volunteering.

  • Tuesday, November 18, 9:00-11:00am or 1:00-3:00pm – Pack food boxes
  • Thursday, November 20, 5:30-6:30pm – Training for Gospel sharing (required for those performing this function)
  • Monday, November 24, 8:00am-12:00pm or 12:00-4:00pm – Food box distribution
  • Monday, November 24, 8:00am-12:00pm or 12:00-4:00pm – Gospel sharing and praying
  • Tuesday, November 25, 8:00am-12:00pm or 12:00-4:00pm – Food box distribution
  • Tuesday, November 25, 8:00am-12:00pm or 12:00-4:00pm – Gospel sharing and praying
  • Thursday, November 27, 8:00-11:00am – Setup Thanksgiving banquet
  • Thursday, November 27, 10:30am-3:30pm – Serve Thanksgiving banquet
  • Thursday, November 27, 2:00-5:00pm – Cleanup Thanksgiving banquet

Drop off food in the church Foyer from Sunday, October 26 through Sunday, November 16, 2025.
