The Wise and Foolish Builders

In Matthew 7:24-27, Jesus tells the parable of two builders to illustrate the difference in two lives built upon different foundations. Only one is built to last. The context is the "Sermon on the Mount" from Matthew 5-7 in which Jesus is describing life as citizens of the Kingdom of God, with Jesus as our King. What foundation are we building our lives upon?

From Series: "The Wise and Foolish Builders"

Jesus talks about two people building houses in this well-known parable in Matthew 7:24-27. When a great storm comes, only one house remains standing. The difference is the foundation upon which the house is built. This sermon explains the metaphors of this parable and challenges listeners to examine the foundations of their own lives.
