Advent: Hope

Advent

The word advent means long-anticipated arrival. In this first week of Advent, we look to the prophesies of Isaiah 42:1-7 to find hope in the coming Messiah. Isaiah identifies the messiah as Jesus Christ who brings hope as (1) the agent of universal justice worldwide; (2) the hope of all peoples; and (3) the humble healer.

From Series: "Advent"

Standing with the Christ of Christmas

When Simeon holds the infant Jesus, he doesn’t speak a sentimental holiday blessing—he announces a battle. Pastor Nate Keeler shares "Standing with the Christ of Christmas" from Luke 2:25-35.

From Series: "Behind Enemy Lines"

This Advent series is not what you expect. This is not just a sweet nativity story, but it is the opening of a cosmic war where Christ invades enemy territory. This Advent, we are studying three stories that peel back the curtain on the unseen spiritual conflict surrounding the Incarnation and what it means for us today.
