Kindergarten Classes
From the moment the children walk in the door of our kindergarten classroom at the beginning of the school day, they are immersed in writing, reading, science, social studies and developing a life-long love for learning and school. We strive to create a safe, comfortable, and inviting school environment where children interact kindly with one another and seek to grow in their learning.
We use the following curriculums – Singapore Math, Handwriting Without Tears, MacMillan/McGraw-Hill’s Treasures Language Arts program, High Scope Curriculum, and teacher developed thematic activities and lessons.
We have a hands-on approach to learning, and use small and large groups, and independent activities to develop an understanding and knowledge of the concepts we explore. We love dramatic play situations, such as the Kindergarten Hospital, to practice what has been learned.
Throughout our school day we emphasize Christ’s love for us. Monthly Bible verses, weekly Bible stories, and chapel are used to strengthen this understanding. The children are able to see first-hand within our school community how much God loves each of us, how amazing He is and how incredible is the world He created.
