WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS TEA—SATURDAY, DEC. 1, 9-11:30 a.m. Ladies, join us for the Women’s Christmas Tea. Invite a friend and join other women for an uplifting morning of sipping tea from real china, singing Christmas carols, and Kaely Johnson will present Becoming a Woman of PEACE in a Crazy World. BIBLE STUDY FOR TODAY CHRISTMAS COFFEE—TUESDAY, DEC. 4 at 9:30 a.m. Enjoy a relaxing time with coffee, breakfast, Christmas music and more! Childcare is available. Tickets are $5/person. STUDENT CHRISTMAS PARTIES—WEDNESDAY, DEC. 5 at 6:30 p.m. Christmas parties for middle school and high school students are during small groups. All students are invited, even if they don’t attend a small group. Enjoy a white elephant gift exchange and snacks. Learn more.
MUSIC OF CHRISTMAS—SUNDAY, DEC. 9 at 4 p.m. Get into the Christmas spirit. Come hear a concert featuring the children’s choir, youth, praise team, handbells, choirs and orchestra. The event is free. A reception with refreshments will follow downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. The whole family is invited to this event. Childcare is available for children Kindergarten and younger. Registration for childcare will open on November 18 in the Lobby. A love offering will be taken benefiting our benevolence fund, Love in Action.
LAMENT AND HOPE SERVICE—SUNDAY, DEC. 16 at 4 p.m. In partnership with GriefShare, BVBC is hosting a Lament and Hope service to serve those who are grieving or hurting during this Advent and holiday season. We acknowledge that Advent is a time to admit and mourn the brokenness and pain of our world and to look together with hope to the coming Savior. Whether you are struggling with hurt or grief during this season or you desire to comfort and pray for the hurting, you are invited to join us in this time of quiet reflection, remembrance, music and prayer on Sunday, December 16th at 4 p.m. in the sanctuary.
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES—MONDAY, DEC. 24 at 4 p.m., 7 p.m. or 9 p.m. Join us on Christmas Eve as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The 4 p.m. family service features the Children’s Choir performing the musical “Right Out of Bethlehem.” The 7 p.m. service is our candlelight service featuring contemporary music and the 9 p.m. service is a candlelight communion service featuring traditional music.
