Two-Year-Old Classes

This class is often a child’s very first experience with school apart from his/her parents. We try to make this experience fun, enjoyable, exciting and, most of all, positive for both children and parents.

We incorporate a play-based curriculum that allows children to learn developmentally appropriate readiness skills in preparation for moving onto the next level of development in the three-year-old class.

We focus on developing fine and gross motor skills, social and emotional skills, and academic growth. Through play, working together in learning and play centers, as well as individual attention from the teachers, children will learn to recognize shapes, colors, the numbers 1-10, and beginning letters and letter sounds.

Our Two’s Class participates in weekly chapel time, gym class, as well as a bi-weekly music exploration class and either outside play on the playground or inside play in the gym every day. We spend our days playing, painting, creating, singing, exploring, sharing, reading, pretending, learning, growing and having fun together with new friends! Each month we memorize a new Bible verse.
