GO SUNDAY

https://brandywine.church/gosunday/

GO Sunday is a day of local mobilization, we will serve our community instead of having church services. We will demonstrate God’s love in practical ways through meeting the needs within our community and city. Simple acts of personal kindness can open hearts to the love of Jesus for both those being served and those serving.

GO Sunday exists to help our church take the figurative training wheels off, and serve together in our community.

When is it? GO Sunday is June 5 from 8am to 12pm.

What type of work will we do and where? We will work alongside our local Gospel partners in the City, and spread out into the neighboring community. We also encourage small groups to serve together by identifying a neighbor to bless or a neighborhood to encourage; maybe it’s a community car wash, a neighborhood park clean-up, or yard work in a shut-in neighbor…the more this can flow from our existing relationships the better.

For example, we’ll have a project across the street at Naamon’s Little League, helping them spruce up their facilities. We’re organizing a street clean-up on the blocks around the Sunday Breakfast Mission. We will also have a project here, where there will be a service project to create care packages for our community.

There will be plenty of Go Sunday projects to participate in and we would love for you to join us.

Next Steps: The planning team will send out an interest survey to gather information from the congregation on how to best plan and organize the day.

During the month of May, we’ll be collecting project items and helping you register for project teams.

Save the date on your calendar and begin praying that our church will make a big impact that day!

Contact Pastor Terry or Laura Van Hees to be part of the planning process.
