Paul talks about love in extremes to emphasize the unconditional aspect of love. This is why the message is titled Love Vs. Abandonment. God’s love is unconditional, unrelenting and permanent…counter-cultural to the distorted version we see in our world today which is quick to abandon, give up, find an exit.
