“Here at MOPS, we are on a mission to celebrate motherhood. We build circles of women who love each other like family, because raising humans is beautiful and hard, and having each other to lean on is life-giving. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own cities, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of being a mom. This is motherhood, and together we can change the world in all the best ways.” – MOPS International
Brandywine MOPS meets once a month on the second Thursday from September through May. We have a morning “AM” session as well as an evening “PM” session. MOPS is for all moms whether you are expecting your first child, are a foster mom, adoptive mom, or seasoned mommyhood vet. The theme of 2020-21 is “Decide to Rise.”
At each meeting we offer a meal and refreshment followed by a speaker or video. The meetings end with table discussion group time. Our discussion group times are formatted to allow our moms to connect, build friendships, and discuss the monthly topic. Outside of our monthly meetings, table groups often get together for playdates,
moms night out events, and evenings with our mentor moms.
Our morning “AM” session meets from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church, get directions. Childcare is provided for children birth through Kindergarten. Limited space is also available for older homeschool children on a first come basis. If you would like more information about our AM MOPS, please contact Jaimy Gillow.
Our evening “PM” session meets from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at a mentor’s home or at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church. Most of our “PM” moms work outside of the home so it is important that we create a flexible format for these meetings that honors your schedule. There is no childcare provided for “PM” MOPS. If you would like the address of this month’s meeting please contact Christy Shannon, our PM MOPS Coordinator.
Registration for MOPS 2020-2021 will open in June.
