MOPS- mothers of preschoolers- this is motherhood.

“Here at MOPS, we are on a mission to celebrate motherhood. We build circles of women who love each other like family, because raising humans is beautiful and hard, and having each other to lean on is life-giving. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own cities, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of being a mom. This is motherhood, and together we can change the world in all the best ways.” – MOPS International

Brandywine MOPS meets once a month on the second Thursday from September through May. We have a morning “AM” session as well as an evening “PM” session. New this year, we will be offering MomsNext, which is for moms of kids in 1st-5th grades. MomsNext will be meeting at the same time as PM MOPS. MOPS is for all moms whether you are expecting your first child, are a foster mom, adoptive mom, or seasoned mommyhood vet. The theme of 2021-22 is “All for Love.”

At each meeting we offer food and refreshment followed by a speaker or video. The meetings end with table discussion group time. Our discussion group times are formatted to allow moms to connect, build friendships and discuss the monthly topic. Outside of our monthly meetings, table groups often get together for playdates, moms night out events and evenings with our mentor moms.

Our morning “AM” session meets 9-11 a.m. at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church (get directions).  Childcare is provided for children birth through Kindergarten during AM MOPS. Limited space is also available for older homeschool children on a first come basis. If you would like more information about our AM MOPS, please contact Jaimy Gillow.

Our evening “PM” session and MomsNext meets 7-9 p.m. at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church (get directions). There is no childcare provided for “PM” MOPS or MomsNext. If you would like more information about our PM MOPS, please contact Alison Champeaux. For information about MomsNext, please contact Meri Wheeler.
